I spent a few days adding the most intuitive informational assist I could think of for Overworld. By tap+holding on any tile or inventory item, you get a text blurb on the item and some useful creature attributes where applicable.
Works really well, but I had to sacrifice pushing the action forward on the initial tap, so that I could detect that holding. It makes the game feel a bit clunky. To mitigate that, I added a “pro mode” toggle, which specifically puts the action back on that first tap for map and inventory clicks, but of course takes away the helper messages. Works great.
I also added individual profile pages, which you can reach from the game just above general Scoreboards, or by clicking anything on the Scoreboard itself. This is going to develop into the first meta-mechanics that I have planned. Stay tuned.
